Applicants must be at least 21 years old to be eligible for the Draft. College graduates who have yet to turn 21 may likewise apply.
Fil-foreign players have until 30 June 2015 to submit their application and all documentary requirements. Aside from the documents needed to prove their citizenship, Fil-foreign rookie hopefuls must also satisfy the D-League residency requirement. They must have played at least seven games each in two D-League conferences.
Local-born players have until 7 August 2015 to turn in their application and requirements.
D-League residency requirements for local-born applicants is at least seven games in one conference.
"I’ve seen a lot of new talents in the D-League so I'm pretty sure that the coming PBA season will be a lot more exciting. I think by this time, some PBA teams have already identified their prospects," PBA commissioner Chito Salud said.
Salud added that league member teams will get the preliminary list of prospective Fil-foreign draftees for screening on 6 July. Anybody who want to contest the eligibility of the applicants can file their protest from 7 July to 6 August.
The league will release the final list of candidates for the Draft on 20 August, three days before the PBA Rookie Draft on 23 August at Robinson’s Place Manila.
