Bolt's Fans Get A Glimpse Of What Jason Brickman Can Do

Jason Brickman is showing everyone why he deserved to be Meralco Bolts' seventh pick overall of the PBA’s 2025 rookie draft. The PBA-bound veteran guard is trying to lead the Abra Solid North Weavers to the 2025 MPBL national championship.

In what could be another headache for rival teams in the MPBL playoffs, the 33-year old guard has finally gotten his groove playing for one of the title contenders in the 7th season of the regional league.

Earlier, just when Caloocan looked like it found an antidote for Abra's one-two-punch of Dave Ildefonso and Encho Serrano, the Fil-Am guard stepped up to help the Weavers seal a 74-62 win and punch a ticket to the Northern Division Finals.

Brickman then organized The Weavers play and helped the team swept the Pangasinan Heatwaves in the Northern Division finals. They are now awaiting the winner of the South Division finals between the Quezon Huskers and BiƱan Tatak Gel.

"This game is very important to us. So, everybody has to give his contribution, I found my opportunity, and there you go," said Brickman.

In Game 1 against the Heatwaves, Brickman produced 15 points (6/11 fg), 4 rebounds, 5 ast and 2 stl. They dominated their opponents and finish the game with a 77-58 win.

In Game 2, The Weavers, drew firepower from Top Gun Dave Ildefonso, Encho Serrano and Raven Gonzales, to end the series with a masterful 99-74 win. Brickman finished with 10 points, seven assists and three rebounds.

The Weavers also extended their MPBL record winning streak to 33, including 26 in the elimination round and 2-game sweeps of Ilagan Isabela in the quarterfinal round and Caloocan in the semifinals.
