Meralco Bolts may have missed the services of Cliff Hodge in their 74-77 loss to Ryukyu Golden Lions in the EASL Season 2, but they are still very much happy for theit energetic forward and his wife Bea as they welcome their baby girl, Rooney Mei.
Just as the Bolts celebrated their historic first-ever PBA championship in June, Cliff and Bea joyfully announced their long-awaited pregnancy—just in time for Father’s Day.
On 14 October, Rooney Mei made her grand entrance, weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces and measuring 19 inches. Bea shared a heartwarming selfie of their little family on Instagram after her birth.
The 36-year-old basketball veteran expressed his gratitude in a touching post.
"6yrs of trying everything possible to have you, and right when we were about to give up, you unexpectedly came. God’s timing is always perfect," he wrote.
Hodge, a rebounding machine and and energizer player, knows that, off the court, his wife as the true MVP.
"First and foremost, after experiencing my wife’s scheduled c-section shout-out to all the mothers in the world, you are all the real MVPs. To my incredible wife, you are my everything, and I didn’t think there could be anything to bring us even closer together, but this amazing experience proved me wrong. @beayhodge, you're a beast for carrying Rooney for 9 months and getting through labor like a walk in the park."
Filled with gratitude, Cliff looks forward to this new chapter.
"I’m so excited for this next chapter in our lives because I know we will be awesome parents together. I love you and Rooney wayyy more than you guys will ever know."
In behalf od the Bolts fans, we hope to see the new Hodge Family star to shine the brightest.
