More injuries are hampering the Bolt's campaign this season. Despite a 107-91 win over Terrafirma last 28 August for a 2-1 record in the PBA Governors Cup, the Bolts will miss the serices of guard Aaron Black for quite a while after suffering a meniscus injury that kept him out of the game against the Dyip.
"He’ll be out for one month," said to coach Luigi Trillo when asked about Black’s health status. "That’s a big blow para sa amin."
The Meralco mentor added Black is set for surgery after being checked by doctors recently.
"He has to have surgery," said Trillo.
Black also missed the Philippine Cup last season after going down with a torn ACL which fortunately, didn't require surgery. This time though, Black said he'll actually undergo just a minor surgery.
"Hoping to be back in a month or less," the son of champion coach Norman Black related to SPIN.ph.
Aside from Black, two other Bolts didn’t suit up against the Dyip in Chris Newsome and Raymond Almazan.
Newsome was in uniform but the coaching staff opted to rest him after spraining his ankle the last time against TNT, while Almazan is still suffering from back spasm.
