PBA Players Support The Resumption of Practice And Games

Willie Marcial
After a lengthy discussion and arguments, PBA players are now unanimous in their decision that they want to go back to training and resume the season at the soonest time.

The league issued that statement after PBA commissioner Willie Marcial met with representatives from each of the 12 teams to discuss the protocols the league plans to put in place once the league gets clearance by the government to hold practices.

The meeting that lasted two hours saw the players stand united in their desire to resume training for the 2020 PBA season.

No other details were bared other than Marcial presenting the protocols the league will be implementing to safeguard the players' health during practices.

Among those invited to the meeting were Jayson Castro of TNT, Marc Pingris of Magnolia, and San Miguel's Chris Ross, who earlier expressed reservations about the planned resumption.

The league is still waiting for the response of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF) of their request that practices be allowed ahead of the resumption of the 2020 season that was shelved last March 11.
