No Commitment Yet from Metta World Peace

Pandas Friend
Finally he has spoken and Filipino basketball fans may now heave a sigh of relief.

Former NBA star Metta World Peace (originally known as Ron Artest) and may be known as "Pandas Friend" in the future has expressed his love for the Philippines and for Manny Pacquiao but did not comment or committed himself on the possibility that "Pacman" will hire him as an import in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

It was revealed last week that Pacquiao, now a player-coach aside from being a boxer and a congressman, is thinking of hiring World Peace as the import for KIA during the import-laced conferences in the PBA.

"Okay 'yun, kaibigan ko 'yun," Pacquiao said of World Peace, a former NBA Defensive Player of the Year who is now set to play in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

Basketball fans thought that Metta World Peace will only make Pacquaio’s team more ‘laughable’ than what it already is and they don’t want the NBA veteran to be part of this sham.

In a blog post published on Rant Sports, World Peace said: "Pacman and The Panda's Friend sounds like the ultimate arcade game."

"Manny Pacquiao is an international star, I have much love for the Philippines," World Peace added. "I am thinking of China right now, and I am excited for this season as a Sichuan Blue Whale."

World Peace played for the New York Knicks in the 2014 season but was waived last February. He signed a contract with the Sichuan Blue Whales last 4 August.
