Ginebra Governor Disrespecting The Dead

Chua's Tweet
The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) was supposed to be a league that promotes sportsmanship and honorable behavior which children can emulate.

But the question is, do they have the officials that can fit the bill? Take the case of Ginebra governor Alfrancis Chua.

The long-haired former coach was involved in a sex scandal awhile back when model Abby Poblador admitted on the air that she was his mistress. Now, Chua was again at the forefront of controversy when he disrespected a dead person.

It started when Chua and KaTropa coach Nash Racela figured in an infamous verbal spat during halftime of Game Three of the Ginebra-TNT semifinal series, which the former won.

Although Chua didn't name or tag Racela in any of his tweets, there was no doubt in Racela's mind who the subject of the attack was.

"Reklamo pa more," Chua posted on his official Twitter account @alfrancischua shortly after Ginebra's victory in Game Four.

Chua, who is also the sports director of San Miguel Corp., stepped up the attack the next day, posting, "Pag panalo tahimik pero natalo ang angal mga sinasabi sarcastic pa papansin lang ganyan talaga pag masama ugali walang napupuntahan!"

The current head of the Basketball Coaches Association of the Philippines (BCAP) followed the tweet with posts that featured photos of the late comedian Palito, which, to his Twitter followers, alluded to Racela's lean frame.

Will the PBA Commissioner take action against this? Probably not given the relationship the PBA had with the San Miguel Corporation management.
