The drumbeaters of Meralco Bolts are counting on TV5 princess Ritz Azul’s sex appeal to lure more fans to support the five year old basketball team.
The voluptuous 19-year-old will lead the squad bannered by Gary David, Reynel Hugnatan, Clifford Hodge, John Wilson, Mike Cortez, Simon Atkins, Jared Dillinger and Sean Anthony when the 40th season of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) opens on 19 October at the Philippine Arena.
Since she won on TV5 talent search show "Star Factor" in 2011, Ritz was given a series of TV shows courtesy of the Kapamilya Network. Though she was supposed to star in the MMFF entry "Mga kuwento ni Lola Basyang" in 2012, the movie was eventually withdrawn. However, she got get first break in the film industry when she was cast as part of the 2014 Cinemalaya entry "Separados" last August.
In 2011, Azul won two awards, one for Outstanding Breakthrough Performance by an Actress from the EMPRESS Golden Screen TV Awards and another for Amazing Female Newcomer from Yahoo! Philippines OMG Awards, both for the drama series “Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak.”
An FHM cover girl in 2012, Ritz debuted in the prestigious list in 2013 at number 28. This year, she jumped six notches to number 22 where she was ranked higher over 100 Sexiest staples Ehra Madrigal, Ryza Cenon, Diana Zubiri, Yam Concepcion, Sunshine Cruz, and Angelica Panganiban.
Hopefully, Ritz jump in the FHM list will also transform to a big jump in the Bolt’s performance.
