Choiced Words From Yeo To The Beermen

Joseph Yeo
The "slit-the-throat" gesture he made was dubbed prophetic, but the words Joseph Yeo made at the end of the game was more appropriate.

"They cannot beat us so they want to take me out of the game," Air 21 Express star guard said after he got ejected in the Express’ do-or-die game in the PLDT Home TVolution Commissioner’s Cup quarterfinals against San Miguel Beer on 25 April 2014.

Yeo was called for a flagrant foul penalty two and an automatic ejection for hitting Beermen Chris Ross below the belt. The two men were involved in a lot of physical stuff before the play, but the referees only penalized the player known as "The Ninja."

Not somebody to minced words, Yeo believes the penalty for his actions was extra harsh.

"I think it’s a penalty one or a technical foul, but F2, that’s too much," Yeo told InterAksyon.com in an exclusive interview. He had already scored 11 points before the ejection.

The outspoken cager also admitted that his move was intentional and meant to convey a strong message to his opponents.

"It was kind of intentional, but nothing serious na gusto ko siya masaktan," Yeo said after the game. "Gusto ko lang ipa-feel sa kanya na hindi na kami `yung binabanga-banga lang."

Yeo, a former member of the Beermen, also blasted his San Miguel's style of play.

"I know these guys, mga larong mayaman yan kaya walang nangyayari sa team na yan," said Yeo.

"They were trying to take me out dahil hindi nila kami kayang talunin. Pero ngayon tingnan mo mangyayari hindi na magiging physical yan kasi matatakot na sila."
